Hytec is a loose laid, flexible polypropylene sheet membrane offering exceptional mechanical properties. Developed especially for fast track rail possession working, when deck and climate conditions are uncertain, or for masonry arch bridges where no continuous deck exists.

Hytec is the first and only waterproofing system that has been approved for use in accordance with Network Rail Specification and is SERCO PADS registered.

Hytec has both the heat weldable seaming benefits of traditional thermoplastics such as PVC, whilst also having the superior mechanical properties and resistance to ageing of thermoset elastomers such as EPDM.

The System

Rolls are heat welded together using conventional hot air welding techniques to provide a durable waterproofing barrier, allowing applications in inclement weather. Hytec is supported by a wide range of accessories tailored to suit the most demanding applications.

Hytec FPP membrane can be supplied laminated to sheet metal which is easily cut and bent to provide termination trims / profiles, onto which the Hytec membrane material may be directly welded. This facility provides rapid site detailing, especially when termination trims are installed in advance of the main works.
